Cardinals Pathfinder Club

Our pathfinders and Directors took another trip to Arkansas on the weekend of the 22nd. Eddie Mitchell and his family helped them finish up their Camping Skills 3 Honor.  After hiking 2 ½ miles to reach our destination, we built a shelter with rope, tree limbs, and bamboo. Part of the group hiked the 2 ½ miles back out, and the other part of the group decided that we had picked a great spot to camp! Later that night, though, they got wet. (Except the ones in the good shelter).

Sunday, September 11th, we took a trip to a vineyard. The caretaker gave us a speech about how Jesus is our vine, and we, as the branches, need to be connected to him to survive. We learned how to prune the vines, and later, we made (very sweet) grape juice. At the end of our visit, we held a simple communion service with the juice we had made. We were honored to take a container of it home with us.
The Ketchum leaders attended the Pathfinder Leadership Weekend, where Pastor Perry was invested as a Master Guide. Everyone got new hats! Thank you to the Conference Leaders who put together such an inspiring, informative weekend.
